Want to eliminate the process of manually inviting all new members to your community? We have a bag of solutions for you! Keep reading if you want to streamline invitations, registrations and other key actions.
💡 Note: if you use our WordPress plugin, we automatically pull member data with its help. So you don't need to do any extra setup (just make sure to activate automatic import in plugin settings).
Automated member registration
To both import the existing members and automatically import all new members, here's what you can do:
- Set up a Zapier connection or hook up our APIs (see more on that below) to automatically activate new members in your PeerBoard instance. Don't enable it yet.
- Export all existing members from your system to a CSV file.
- Import this CSV file on your Invite Members page, hit Send Invites.
- Now, as your existing members are already imported, you can activate Zapier/API connector to start adding all future members to your PeerBoard instance.
Doing it in such a sequence would help you avoid missing any members who are registering while you do that.
Setting Up Zapier
Check this comprehensive guide that uses Memberful as an example for your membership management system. In your case it can be any membership system that supports Zapier and we have more guides in Zap Recipes section.
💡 Note that there're two Zapier actions we support: invite members and activate members (skips invite stage). We recommend to choose based on what expectations your members have.
Using Our APIs
Here's an engineering guide on how to use our APIs, including member activation API. This is handy if you have engineering capacity and your membership system provides triggers you can hook up to (or it's your product). Note: our APIs are available on paid plans only.
Milestone Achieved: Automation Guru!
